Socially awkward full-stack coder Jenny Novak travels to Slovenia hoping to reconnect with her estranged grandfather, a man whose selfish past has affected her relationship with her parents and her cripplingly low self-esteem. With each new phone call, the love in her heart expands a little more and the desire to visit her ancestral country strengthens.
She books a one-night stay at a cozy bed-and-breakfast in the heart of the Slovenian wilderness and immediately feels a strange air press down on her. She doesn’t know the old building was once used to breed and sacrifice dogs, and soon, what were once just ghost stories beget from podcasts and hearsay manifest around her in real-time.
Jenny presses through otherworldly mist, maze-like hallways, and impossible architecture to gather new allies in her fight to stave off a serial killer who uses paranormal means to hunt down tenants for a sick ceremony.
